We constantly innovate, not just in sound technology, but also in stylish design, providing a comfortable and modern wearing experience.

What is a speech processor?

The speech processor is the part of the cochlear implant system that needs to be worn outside the body by the recipient. This speech processing unit consists of a signal processing unit, a transmission coil, and a battery.

The microphone collects the sound signal, and the signal processing unit encodes the sound signal and transmits it to the implant coil through radio frequency through the transmission coil.

Why Nurotron speech processor?

Technical Advantages & Innovation

Noise reduction and sound signal processing: when you put on Nurotron’s CI processor, the unique e-voice and a-beam voice technology can reduce background noise in different environments in daily life.

"When I'm marketing, listening to music, enjoying music... the Nurotron sound processor makes me hear the details of the sound signal as much as possible."

Moreover, Nurotron introduced its innovative C-tone technology. This unique tone enhancement strategy boosts sound energy patterns, helping to improve speech recognition, switching, and conduction.

All these coding strategies are primarily designed to mimic natural hearing and improve speech recognition rates and sound quality by optimizing signal delivery.

Clinical Satisfaction

Cochlear implantation is the first step of hearing. After surgery, the user would experience regular adjustments, product upgrades, replacement of consumables, rehabilitation training, etc.

Nurotron designs and manufactures sound processors with a wide range of sound adjustments so that hearing specialists can precisely tailor them to the specific hearing needs of each patient to better optimize the listening experience.

Nurotron also develops easy-to-use programming software and user interfaces for CI processors to help audiologists adjust and personalize settings more efficiently. Through careful optimization, the patient’s speech recognition rate and hearing clarity will be improved, and users will feel more comfortable in long-term use.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What training do you provide?

For professionals and distributors, we provide various kinds of technical support and training, including how to set up the processor, how to maintain the processor in daily life, and how to deal with common faults, etc, so that you can help patients better.

For CI processor users, we offer online consultation both before and after cochlear implant surgery. Users can access professional training schedules and practice sessions, guided by our specialists and doctors, to help improve their hearing abilities.

  1. Are your cochlear processors anti-water or anti-dust?

The core connection place of our speech processor is waterproof, indicating a high protection level from dust and water exposure (optimal operating humidity: ≤85%). We also have accessories kits to protect them from water or dust.

It is recommended to dry the signal processing unit every day; use a soft cloth or a small soft brush to wipe the contacts and body of the hearing processors to prevent corrosion of the metal contacts caused by sweat stains and poor equipment contact. Remove the speech processor when applying makeup, powder, or hairspray.
